It is a new month for WIPWordSearch Excerpts! I missed the first few days in December on Social Media but I still included them here. Hope your holidays are going amazing! Good luck with shopping and be warm out there. My books are available on Kindle Unlimited. First two books in the Children of Kaespars series: Shadows of Colesbrooke and Moonlit Woods. My third book will be released soon. Sign up for my newsletter for updates.
Shadows of Colesbrooke by Brandy I. Timmons: December Excerpts
December 1, 2023 – Point
There was no #point going to the hospital now. What could medicine do against a witch’s curse?
December 2, 2023 – Prevent
Thomas didn’t wait around to see how hurt it was or if its injuries would #prevent it from pursuing him. He ran, breaking out of the trees a few feet from the drain. He didn’t stop.
December 3, 2023 – Post
The glass door jingled as Thomas swung it open, and he spotted Gary leaning against a lamp #post and waving. He was dressed in his scrubs already, presumably headed to work. As Thomas approached, he smiled, relief evident in his eyes.
December 4, 2023 – Proud
The sturdiest part of the pub was the massive set of oak double doors standing #proudly beneath a long green canvas canopy jutting out from the building and slanting to one side.
December 5, 2023 – Pot
Of course, back then you could get a #pot of coffee for a nickel and a gallon of gasoline for twenty-five cents.
December 6, 2023 – Poor
Prostitutes and vagrants enjoying the high of morphine, while blood junkie vampires enjoy drinking from the #poor.
December 7, 2023 – Peak/Peek
The sun’s first rays #peaked through the sky and distant skyscrapers. Small waves of light reached Thomas’ skin and scorched him.
December 8, 2023 – Pull
Steel fingers dug through his skin. Thomas yelped, but couldn’t #pull away.
Pure instinct took over as Thomas flailed. He threw an elbow into a black figure and made contact with something—hopefully the attacker’s face.
Moonlit Woods by Brandy I. Timmons: December Excerpts
December 1, 2023 – Point
But now there was no #point. The beast would win. Fighting only made it worse but doing nothing was terrifying.
December 2, 2023 – Prevent
The wolf was always trying to break out and roam free and the human was always setting up more and more barriers to #prevent the wolf’s escape from ever happening.
December 4, 2023 – Proud
The burden of guilt and sorrow caused his once #proud shoulders to slump under their weight.
December 5, 2023 – Pot
“Welcome! Take a seat. I’ve brewed a #pot o’ joe, and hopefully this little gab fest of ours doesn’t take long enough that I got to brew a second, aye?”
December 6, 2023 – Poor
“My, my. I was hoping to call heroes to my side, but instead I get two killers and a scared pup,” the Crone grumbled as if having a bomb-wielding werewolf in her shop was a common occurrence. “What cruel fates conspire against a #poor old woman.”
December 7, 2023 – Peak/Peek
It was to celebrate their children’s high school graduation, as well as get back in touch with one another and strengthen their family bond.
Unfortunately, it had turned into a nightmare when the full moon #peeked out from the silvery clouds the second night.
December 8, 2023 – Pull
Soon the werewolf was reduced to nothing but a filthy, naked man, weakly grasping at a wooden spike that was too slick with blood to #pull free.
