Shadows of Colesbrooke by Brandy I. Timmons: March WIPWordSearch Excerpts
March 17, 2024 – Level
The burn was different than the burn Thomas had received from the sun. In the sun, his skin had blistered and split like a normal sunburn taken to a horrifying new #level. The cross, however, had charred his skin like burnt wood.
March 18, 2024 – Lack
The sensation was uncanny to say the least. Perhaps more accurately, the #lack of sensation was uncanny. For all his senses told him, there was nothing impeding his way, and Thomas knew on an intellectual level he should have been able to step through the empty space, but no matter how hard he tried, something stopped him.
March 19, 2024 – Linger
Primal joy pulsed through him as he pushed his body’s new abilities to the limit, outmatching any #lingering disappointment that this hellish life was his own now.

March 21, 2024 – Limit
He was nearing the #limit of his vampiric fortitude, and hunger clawed at his insides.
March 22, 2024 – Last
Thomas did as he was told, the excess liquid dribbling down the sides of his mouth and onto his chin as he guzzled.
As he drained the #last drop, Thomas could feel the healing accelerate. He closed his eyes, his consciousness slipping again.
March 23, 2024 – Learn
“I need to get to a hospital. Can you take me?”
“What’re they gonna do, kid? Check your pulse? Look, I’m here to help. You gotta #learn to trust your Lawrence.”
Thomas began to wonder how anyone could trust this guy.
March 24, 2024 – List
She was among the growing #list of extreme and usual physical assault injuries in Colesbrooke. Emergency personnel and doctors swapped descriptions of strange wounds they’d encountered during night shifts. Thomas had never come across any such victims during the day shift—until now.

During their brief meeting, he’d impressed Clara with his wit and #level of playful energy. Now he looked like an entirely different man.
March 18, 2024 – Lack
A police officer hovered near the door and questioned them about the wild animal attack. It was difficult to answer through the #lack of memories and the fog from being heavily medicated.
March 19, 2024 – Linger
Clara frowned, reaching up and running a finger through her dark hair. She should have gone to wash off the #lingering scents from the vampire hideout, but she had to find Benji and warn the pack of what may be coming.

March 21, 2024 – Limit
There weren’t many places in the city #limits that could be considered tranquil, but for Clara, this was as close as it got. There was always a gentle cross breeze that wiped away the stench of the city, leaving nothing but the fragrance of flowers in its place.
March 22, 2024 – Last
After the #last few days of enormous tension, it felt good to laugh, and Clara had a hard time stopping. When she did, she wiped away a few tears crinkled in her eyes and shook her head.
March 23, 2024 – Learn
Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise Clara to #learn some desperate vampire was willing to sell his blood to the Crone in exchange for some other tincture that aided their kind.
March 24, 2024 – List
Nelson cursed the pub and called Lawrence a long #list of names from both the English and Spanish languages.
