Shadows of Colesbrooke by Brandy I. Timmons: November WIPWordSearch Excerpts 2024
November 1, 2024 – Green
“Great. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you’re also competent enough to mix some hooch with the red stuff and serve it to anyone who puts #green on the counter. You can start tomorrow. I’d say bright and early, but we both know that’d be a lie, eh, kid?”
November 2, 2024 – Give
Thomas picked up his pace. He wasn’t ready to #give up on his human life, not completely.
November 3, 2024 – Grind
No word found.
November 4, 2024 – Great
“Glad to see you’re awake, kid. Welcome to the Red Lightning Pub. I’m your gracious host and wandering savior, Lawrence the #Great. Lawrence the Brave. Maybe just Lawrence, the fella who saved your life.”
November 5, 2024 – Guilt
He was relieved nothing had happened while he was away, apprehensive about why she’d called him, and corroded with fear and #guilt for what might happen to his friends.
November 6, 2024 – Get
“I swear to God, I will send that man to hell myself if I #get the chance,” Julia whispered, her fist clenching over Thomas’ chest.

“Thomas, be a pal and go help my wife,” Lawrence spat, undoing the cuffs on his shirt and rolling up his sleeves. “I’ll be the one to send my old partner here straight to the #gates of hell.”
November 8, 2024 – Greet
She gave Artemis, Thomas, and Sean quick pecks on the cheek. It was an embarrassing #greeting, but one they’d long since become accustomed to.

November 1, 2024 – Green
Slowly the #green leaves and occasional splatters of blue sky above her came into focus. She sat upright, her heart pounding as half formed memories from the night before flooded her mind.
November 2, 2024 – Give
Her hands clenched into fists that trembled with the thought. A strangled noise caught in her throat as she locked her jaw down, refusing to #give into her reflexive need to scream her rage and frustration to the sky.
November 3, 2024 – Grind
No word found.
November 4, 2024 – Great
No one knew anything about the witch, and many went through #great lengths to avoid her, but no one knew why.
November 5, 2024 – Guilt
It was the same look she’d seen in her own eyes, staring back at her every time she looked in the mirror during her first few years as a werewolf. It was a blend of survivor’s #guilt, of self-loathing, and of struggling to come to terms with the fact that you were no longer human
November 6, 2024 – Get
“Go. Leave. #Get out of the city,” she said, trying her best not to sound like she was pleading to avoid suspicion. “This is just going to #get worse.”
For a moment, Sean looked tempted. He glanced back and forth between Clara and Thomas.
November 7, 2024 – Gate
No word found.
November 8, 2024 – Greet
Gloom #greeted her.
