Panic choked him like a stale pillow pressed against his face, and he stood up to #escape and breath. He wasn’t ready. He couldn’t do this. Not now.

Thomas shook his head. “I’ll be alright. I need some time to think. I’m not sure I’m going home yet. I might walk around.”

“Gypsy street. Got it,” Thomas said

She gave Artemis, Thomas, and Sean quick pecks on the cheek. It was an embarrassing greeting, but one they’d long since become accustomed to. She’d greeted her friends this way #ever since she’d learned about the custom in a high school French class.

He shuddered but not in #ecstasy this time. The blood was cold. The animalistic, predatory part of him didn’t like that.

Even if you #excluded the static, the sound quality of the message was terrible, with an obnoxious echo to it.

An animal growl #escaped Lawrence’s throat, Donald’s fist closed on the vampire’s suit, his muscles bulging from the effort of holding the man back.

Penny took another shot. She missed.

“No problem, just go again.”

“How can you tell I missed?” Penny asked grumpily. “You can’t #even see through the flares.”

“Experience, my dear. Now take the shot again.”

He lined up his shot. Since the buckshot had a spread, he could easily blast both werewolves at this range with silver, hopefully #ending them both.

She’d ended up in a nomadic circle that encompassed most of North Africa and the Middle #East, which was where she was bitten. With her newfound strength, she’d quickly become a heroine to her people.

And what would #ever possess you to actually tell a human about you being a werewolf?

It howled in her mind, drowning out all #external sound and the heavy buzzing. She closed her eyes. All that existed was Clara and the beast.
